Look for beaches with ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’ water quality and check for pollution forecasts when deciding where to paddle, swim or snorkel – you can do this by refining your search on the right-hand panel.
The official bathing season is May to September in England and Wales and June to September in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Water quality isn’t monitored outside of this time and daily pollution forecasts are not made. Find out more about how water quality is monitored at beaches here.
