waters which have to meet European water quality standards.

The bay is a wave-cut platform containing a 4 mile shingle beach. To the east it is backed by the chalk cliffs of Seaford Head Nature Reserve. It is a quiet family beach.

There is free parking for up to 200 cars next to the beach.

Things to do

Swimming, scuba diving, snorkelling, sea canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and fishing. There is zoning for water sports. Nearby recreation ground with tennis, pitch and putt and a children's play area.

Wildlife & walks

Seaford Head Nature Reserve is adjacent to the beach offering cliff top walks. The reserve has approximately 250 plants. There are many species of insect, including 28 species of butterfly, waders and sea birds.
